Before the shoot
Tips to remember before our session
Clothing: Keep it simple.
Throw in a little colour if you’d like, but avoid the busy patterns and please don’t feel the need to match everyone in white shirts and jeans.
Keep the outfits casual and try to avoid logo or branded clothing as this will date. We aim for natural, timeless photographs, with focus on you and your connection.
Be aware that super bright colours steel all the attention and draw the eye to the outfits instead of your faces and interaction.
My sessions are relaxed and natural, so make sure you feel comfortable with your outfit choices. Please check if there are bra straps showing or any other outfit mishaps that we would not like to be seen in the photos or which will make you uncomfortable while shooting.
If you would like to change your outfits during the shoot, please let me know in advance so we can plan for it.
As a general recommendation, try to carry as little items as possible. The less you carry, the more relaxed the shoot will be and we won't need to be mindful about the bags or keep moving them with us.
Location: Be on time.
For outdoor shoots, please allow for enough time to reach the location and be on time. We are very reliant on the available light and being late for the shoot can result in poor quality of light.
For home shoots, have a look around your home and remove/declutter any items that you would not like to see in the photos. Photoshop does magic but it has its limitations :).
I shoot mainly with natural light so please draw up all curtains and prepare your home for the shoot.
Rescheduling: It's perfectly fine to reschedule if we need to.
If any family member is not feeling well and is showing symptoms like blocked or runny nose, soar throat and temperature, please inform me and we will reschedule. I will do the same. We can always find another date when everyone is feeling great!
